Further Alooooong the Roooooooad Less Traaaaaaveellled
What an amazing week. Not only did I have a week away from work and online courses, but I was able to delve into a course that I can truly and honestly say is my favourite course in my undergrad studies. The course was on Psych and Spirituality and we studied lots of topics within that – love, forgiveness, grace, etc via the thoughts and writing of many thought-provoking writers. We studied a bit of SCOTT Peck’s book The Road Less Travelled which I didn’t always like but we also learned about Thomas Merton and Henri Nouwen among others. I feel a new connection with Nouwen’s work and am excited to (hopefully) do a directed study on his writing this Fall. I am so glad that I went. It was an amazing week filled with laugh-until-you-cry moments and defining moments in the concepts surrounding spiritual growth. I am so thankful for the opportunity to get away and BE.
